MACHINE OPERATOR Top Rochester packaging company has multiple openings in production. Jobs require the ability to work a rotating A, B & C shift. Some mandatory weekends & overtime. Temp-to-hire with starting pay at $10/hr. (up to $13.51 upon direct hire), GED or HS diploma required. Steady work history in a factory setting also required.
Position involves the following duties. (May also assist in other areas of the slitting department): 1. Assist with positioning a roll of material at rear (unwind) of machine. 2. Read and understand customer specifications of jobs being run. 3. Cut cores for finished rolls using automatic core cutter. 4. Prepare palletizing materials by making patterns, cutting inserts, cutting v-boards, etc. May require the use of hand tools. 5. Stack slit rolls onto pallets, either manually or by use of roll handling equipment. 6. Prepare finished material per customer specification and stretch wraps. 7. Clean work area, machine, tools, and equipment. This includes AIB cleaning. 8. Actively participate in safety programs and makes safety observations. Follow plant safety rules. 9. Train under operator to understand all phases of machine operator to gain ability to run machine in operator absence. 10. Other duties as assigned.

MATERIALS MANAGER Materials Manager needed who can manage a small team of purchasing professionals in the management of the supply chain. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for the sourcing of materials and negotiating and implementing supplier agreements. The Materials Manager will ensure that supplies are available for the manufacturing process and will improve the delivery of materials in order to strengthen the manufacturing process.

SOFTWARE TESTER Seeking Software Tester with knowledge in Windows, Office Exchange, etc., internals, hardware platforms and peripherals to work long-term contract position (12 to 18 months) at large, local corporation. This is an exceptional opportunity. Pay is approximately $18 per hour.
Must have a BS/MS in CS, IS, CE, or EE, or equivalent work experience and practical knowledge with a minimum of 2 years working experience.
Candidate should also be a quick learner, have a technical understanding of a network, experience with mail services, and an understanding of network authentication. Experience with IPv6, LDAP and network scanning would be preferred, but is not required.

ELECTRONIC/MECHANICAL ASSEMBLER Assist in the manual building, testing, and packing of an electronic box build project, including hand soldering and inspection of solder joints. - Perform test functions using a computer, barcode scanner, and charging fixtures. - Operate ultra-sonic welder, epoxy dispensing machine, and Hot Bar Soldering machines. - Pack assemblies for shipping - Assist in moving and staging assemblies and packed products for shipping. - Hand solder battery and inspect solder joints.
Requirements High school diploma or GED, or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident due to access to information subject to ITAR Regulations. Current IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001 certification. Lifting up to 50 lbs. SMT OPERATOR Responsible for completing all tasks related to the setup and operation of SMT equipment. Duties include:
- Responsible for accurately cross referencing part numbers, revisions, and identifying correct part orientation in all process documentation. - Review shop order packet for correct revisions and to ensure that all necessary information to build the product is on hand (serve as a buddy check to Document Control). - Read router to ensure all parts are available and check Document Control Notification (DCN) for any deviations and correct revisions. - Perform pre-setup of jobs and work in teams to minimize machine changeover time and thereby maximizing machine uptime. - Responsible for loading PCB’s in solder paste screen printer. - Reload parts during runs as needed to maximize machine run time. - Check boards prior to reflow oven operation to ensure parts are properly set and that they meet Quality Assurance Standards.
Requirements - One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. - Must have strict attention to detail on all work - Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. - Ability to learn to identify electronic components (will need to be trained and certified in IPC-A-610). - Must have basic computer knowledge with ability to learn to use:Windows Explorer, Microsoft Office and multiple SMT related computer interfaces including uploading process computer programs. - Ability to learn solder and be certified to IPC J Std-001. - Color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors) and depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships).
